This year's season has certainly started off with a bang! New coach and a new team but we are ready to rock and roll our way into this year's competition. Our New coach is Paul Eckheart and after most of our team graduating, we are going through a complete reboot and restructure so that we can have our best season yet! We also have a bunch of new mentor this year to assist with programming and general mechanics. This year we will also be using CAD (Computer aided design) to further our robot's design and build structure this year. A photoshoot will be coming soon to get the latest team's picture. This Wednesday we will be discussing a general build plan to see if any modifications need to be made to our robot's base as for this year's challenge, we will need a grabber arm to pick up and place objects in our driving field. This year we have a large programming team so that we don't have the same programming mistakes as last year so that we can have a fully functional robot. Unfortunately, our team is quite small this year with about 6 students to complete this year's robot so we have to use our resources quite carefully. On the bright side, this year we have a dedicated sub-team (of one) for fundraising and we already have multiple businesses willing to donate and give our team a sponsorship this year. Our biggest donor to date has been Target who has graciously given our team a donation of $4,000 to cover our initial registration fees and Home Federal Bank, Valley Laundromat, and Valley Lanes have also pledges to donate as well. Things are looking up has we head into our 2023 season!
