Today Marketing team started to work on the bumpers. They had Noah cut out pieces of wood to test out how to set up the bumpers. They are going to continue to work on them Wednesday. Coding team is working on how to get our robot to function in the autonomous period. Jerry and Elias came in to help with the building and coding as well.

Today we started off with a few members in the shop getting safety certified with the band saw and drill press. Mrs.Brogan kindly stayed after school to teach them how to safely use the machines. The members who learned all passed their safety tests and can now use the machines. Then after that, we all met in Mr.Eckhearts room for some team bonding. Where we put together a couple of puzzles. We all went down to the room afterward to work on the tours for the robot and to look at the code a bit more.
Today only half the team showed up as they were gone for one reason or another. We did get two new sponsors, Casey's and Home Federal were generous to donates pizzas and $150 to our team. Alex was put in charge of the robot's camera or "eyes" and he was able to build a prototype version of the code but was unable to test it as the team does not have a sutable camera. The old camera's wires had been severed, redering it useless and the only other camrea we could find had no power cord and could be reconized by any device. Coach Eckheart said he would look into seeing if the school had a USB webcam we could use, otherwise we will need to order one. The tower still isn't built yet and is supposed to be complety functional by this Saturday.
Today has been chaotic to say the least. The coding team is currently experiencing some issues with connecting to the RoboRio. They can't tell if it is the cord or the computer. The building team is still deciding on how to build and go about for the arm. They have a somewhat detailed idea of what they plan to do, but materials and balancing the robot is the tricky part. We did have a visitor today though, Lukas Thompson joined us! He is going to be a mentor and started to help build team today with the arm troubles. Marketing has been calling up different local businesses about fundraising and started to work on some flare. They have designed a couple of clothing designs and a flag. We will soon have shirts and hoodies for this season. On Wednesday, most team members will be learning how to use the band saw safely. Today's chaos will hopefully be resolved by Wednesday.
